As an integral part of our commitment to furthering the education of future generations of healthcare professionals, Queensland Eye & Retina Specialists hosts 4 th and 5 th year optometry students from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) regularly throughout the year. These students undergo placements in our practice where they work closely with both the Ophthalmologist and Clinical Optometrists in the practice to help each student gain real world practice experience through observation. 

We also provide the opportunity for students to observe complex retinal surgical cases at Dr Cheng’s regular operating lists.
